Chef’s Gourmet Brunch This Sunday in Duluth

It’s that time of the year again. I know Spring is just around the corner when It’s time for the annual Al Dumancas Memorial Brunch. It’s an annual rite of Spring in the Twin Ports area. Chefs come from as far as Minneapolis to help us prepare a glorious brunch and the proceeds benefit the Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank and the grub is downright delectable! The brunch is named after a local chef who was instrumental in forming the local chapter of the American Culinary Federation (Arrowhead Professional Chefs)  a national educational association for culinary professionals. The local chapter has been in existence for over 30 years and the chefs that are members are tireless with their donation of time, products and energy to raise money for it’s causes. This year’s brunch will feature signature items including an omelet station, baked egg dishes, carved meats, a chocolate fountain and other gourmet delights. There will also be live jazz, cash bar and a all you can eat buffet of delights. Click here for some candid  behind the scenes shots of local chefs preparing past brunch dishes.

Tickets are available at or at the door.

Hi there, I am Al’s daughter and it’s spelled Dumancas. Thanks if you can make the correction. Our family comes every year and we all enjoy the brunch. Thanks for all you do in my Dad’s name, you’re a wonderful bunch of people and I know he would be ever so proud that this tradition continues.

Thanks Bernadette for the kind words, we appreciate it. Yes, it’s a great group of chefs and we often remember Al and all his contributions.
